Head Teacher’s Welcome

H-StottWelcome to our School Website.

Our aim is that you can easily find the information that you are looking for, whilst being able to celebrate what a vibrant, dynamic, busy and amazing place it is.

A Church School

Allerton CE Primary is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school. We welcome children from all faiths and backgrounds and those of none. We are privileged to have a diverse school community, with representatives from many cultures. This leads to a rich, colourful and exciting community. In 2016 we have just over 500 children on roll, with over 30 languages spoken.

Allerton Church of England Primary is a hard working, dynamic, creative and friendly school. We have a Multi-Use Games Area, separate purpose built KS2 and Year 6 classroom blocks. Our outdoor areas are huge, with many opportunities for learning….fort, fire pit, amphitheatre, pizza oven, quiet garden and much more. Our school grounds are really extensive and we love to garden, grow things and create outdoor sculptures and nature areas. This has been reinforced by our recent Forest School Status. They have to be seen!
In September 2016, we will have our own purpose built Arts space, Café/Cooking room and Nurture space. This will also be used by OOSC, after school.

Our Arts Mark Gold Status and Arts partnerships, enable us to provide quality experiences and provision for our pupils. Our Early Years provision extends from our 2 year old setting up to Reception. Come and see what is on offer, as the children are happy and settled and we would love to welcome you too. Our entrance is shared with the Alwoodley Children’s Centre, which is sited within the same building. Co-location has enabled really strong partnership working.

A Passion for Learning

We are passionate about learning and aim for every child to have a happy and active primary education in an environment that is caring and supportive. We provide a stimulating and structured environment in which all children are encouraged to reach their full potential. We treat all our pupils individually, developing their sense of worth and confidence and encourage unique talents to flourish in every child.

We want our children to really love learning. We want our children to be passionate about what they do. We want to work in partnership with you, our parents, as this is key to success.

Pride

I am proud to be Head teacher of this Church school, to share our school life and work with you.
